DIY – Japanese Washi Tape Decor

05/16/2011

Seeing that washi tape is everywhere lately,  I thought I’d share with the slim chance you may not have heard of it.  Japanese washi tape apparently is the latest craze in crafting and I like it!  How About Orange showing us (above), a creative use to add some interest to a carafe.

You can easily turn this tape into pretty little things like bunting, mini-banner flags or simple gift tags.   Shown here by The Haystack Needle from Sweet Bella’s exhibitor booth at the NY Gift Show.

The uses are endless and I just may have to add a few rolls of washi tape to my crafting supplies!  I can see how addicting they can become.

I love washi tape! It’s almost more useful than it is pretty (and that’s saying a lot!)

Other than your suggestions, I also really like to use it when wrapping gifts, making cards and just around the house for little things.

Here’s a recent round-up of card making ideas that I put together: http://omiyageblogs.blogspot.com/2011/05/diy-washi-tape-cards.html
